Common questions

How Fast We Get to You

How fast can you get here?

Same-day is standard practice across Thornleigh and the wider Hornsby Shire, not the exception. Call (02) 9023 2087 and we'll give you a genuine arrival window on the spot, often within a few hours of that call rather than a vague full-day slot.

How do I book?

Pick up the phone and you'll get straight through to someone on our team, day or night, no call centre and no automated menu. If it's easier, get in touch and we'll ring you back to settle on a time that suits you.

What counts as a drain emergency?

Sewage backing up inside the house, a gully spilling over in the backyard, or more than one fixture blocked at once all count as genuine emergencies. A single slow sink can usually wait for a booked slot, but anything spreading water or waste gets priority same-day attention.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Weekends and public holidays don't slow us down at all. If it's urgent, we're just as available on a Sunday as we are on a Tuesday, same crew and same pricing.

Common questions

What It Costs to Get It Sorted

What discounts do you offer?

Five offers run at once: $65 off your first service, a free CCTV drain inspection with any jet blast, a free plumbing inspection on jobs worth $200 or more, a free premium garden tap on any paid job, and a 20% seniors discount. More than one can apply to the same booking.

Do prices change once you start?

No. Upfront fixed pricing exists specifically so that never happens. What we quote before we start is what shows up on the invoice, right through to the end of the job.

What does 'from $89' actually include?

'From $89' covers a straightforward blocked drain, no tree roots, no collapsed pipe, and a run that's easy to reach. The exact cost gets locked in on site before any tools come out, so you know precisely what you're paying.

What does '$65 off your first service' cover?

The discount applies the first time you book us, for a drain clear, a CCTV inspection or a general plumbing call-out. It comes straight off the invoice on the day, no voucher code or online sign-up needed.

Common questions

The Thornleigh Questions

Why do Thornleigh's older homes get blocked drains?

Plenty of the older homes close to the railway line were laid with earthenware and clay pipes that have had the better part of a century to crack and shift. Mature trees close to Larool and Waitara Creeks push roots into those joints, the single biggest cause of blockages on the older streets.

How local are you, really?

We're regularly on Dartford Road and along The Esplanade, not just passing through on the way to somewhere else. The sporting fields at the Oval and the bushland around Headen Park are both well within our patch, and we know that ground and what tends to go wrong underneath it.

Do you handle strata and units?

There's a growing pocket of unit development around the station and along Pennant Hills Road, and strata blocks bring their own questions about whose pipe is whose. We work with owners, tenants and strata managers to sort out where responsibility actually sits before we start.

Can you handle new builds and renovations here?

Yes, from the newer brick-veneer homes built through the 1980s and 1990s to renovations on the older Federation-era stock. Different eras mean different pipework, so we check what's actually in the ground before quoting rather than guessing from the age of the house.

Common questions

Who's Responsible for What

What standards does drainage work follow?

Drainage work in NSW follows the AS/NZS 3500 plumbing standards, and a handyman isn't legally allowed to touch it, only a fully licensed plumber. That's exactly why every job we do is signed off by our own licensed team, gas fitters included.

Do wipes really block drains?

Yes, and 'flushable' on the packet doesn't mean it falls apart in the pipe. These wipes travel mostly intact, catch on the smallest snag inside an older pipe, and slowly build a blockage layer by layer.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

A plunger or a sink full of hot water handles most simple clogs just fine. Once tree roots, a cracked pipe or anything deeper in the run are involved, that's licensed plumbing work under NSW law, best left to us.

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Every drain we clear and every pipe we repair is covered for life, no expiry date and no fine print. If the same problem returns because of work we did, we come back and fix it at no cost.
